A Personal Trainer will provide you with Motivation to train and Accountability to stick to your goal. However, there are other very important reasons a Personal Trainer is beneficial whether you are a newbie to exercise or even a seasoned veteran. These are SAFETY and TECHNIQUE.

It is important that early in your progression from non-exerciser to fitness fanatic that you are taught the correct technique in all exercises. This will help prevent injuries (which can lead to lengthy time off), it will ensure you are getting the most out of your exercise and educate you on how to look for correct form.

Training with bad technique can lead to imbalances in your posture, niggling or even serious injury and can lead to a plateau in your results. A good Personal Trainer should always assess and correct your technique in all exercises including the “easy ones”.

SAFETY is something a Personal Trainer can ensure during a workout for people of all fitness levels. Whether you are lifting heavy weights or using the treadmill for the first time. Exercising with someone who is knows how to “spot” your lifts and ensure you’re training environment is free of hazards allows you to free your mind, put your trust in them and just concentrate on the exercise.

If you are interested in learning more of the benefits of Personal Training feel free to call 1300 NEWLEVEL to talk to a trainer, or fill out our 3 FREE Session offer on this website.

People find exercise in many different forms and because of a range of circumstances. After the sudden loss of her fiance Alex, Nikki found exercise to be therapeutic and helped her recover from her heartache.

Motivated by her new found love of exercise, Nikki completed her Certificate IV in Fitness and is now the proud business owner of her very own Personal Training studio in Geelong. Nikki and her trainers are now changing the lives of other Geelong locals, and nothing makes her happier.

Check out the article below written by Danny Lannen of the Geelong Advertiser.

Congratulations Nikki.

We Create Career Opportunities For Passionate Personal Trainers!

Did you know there’s over 40 Registered Training Organizations (RTOs) who
run Personal Training courses in just Victoria, let alone the rest of Australia?

The beauty of this is the fact that there are a lot of potential personal trainers
to choose from when you are an employer. As a result, we at New Level Personal
Training can literally hand-pick our teams for our studios and find the best of
the best trainers to help our clients.

But before you click to watch this video, we must mention one thing…we ensure
that all of our Personal Trainers are a Fitness Australia Registered Personal Trainer
first and foremost. Plus, they must carry a current 1st Aid Certificate & Public
Liability Insurance. If you are in the market for personal training, make sure
that you ask your personal trainer if they are Fitness Australia Registered.

Look for the logo above…

Watch this sample of a recent Industry Presentation Seminar that we
did at the Victorian Fitness Academy to 80+ budding personal trainers.

As the video says, we look for lots of personality, excellent customer service
experience, plus ‘life experience’ in the trainers that we hire.

Have you ever heard these sayings?

‘Walk your talk’ or ‘Practice what you preach’

In my opinion, personal trainers really have to do just that. If we don’t, we will be found
out immediately. To say, “we shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover” is B.S. because let’s
face it….we do! Our clients certainly do when they first meet us.

Personal trainers are judged by not what we just say but also by what we actually do.
Would you train with a personal trainer who sat on the couch and ate chips all day and
did next-to-no exercise? I think not!

But hang on…isn’t there doctors out there who give us life-saving prescriptions, yet
look as though they should be the ones taking the prescriptions to save their own life?
Personally, I only deal with fit looking doctors because they (at least) look as though
they get it. They look as though they practice what they preach.

BUT, I also believe that in order to practice what we preach we all need help. If we say
personal training is a great, life-changing investment in yourself, then I ask all personal
trainer out there the following question….

“Do you have a personal trainer yourself?… or are you too good for one?”

As a personal trainer for the last 15+ years, I thought I never needed one…until I got one.
A trainer gave me that extra push. Whether it’s the 8th, 9th or 10th rep while doing weights
or those extra 50 punches on the focus mitts during a boxing session, it provided me with
that extra little bit that I could never do myself.

Every New Level Personal Trainer is required to have a trainer. This is part of our system,
a part of our manuals and a condition of our employment. That’s how it just is!

For me, I love the fact that I have my 2 PT sessions a week are booked well in advance in
my Outlook Calendar. I’ve coded them green to indicate a ‘Personal Appointment’ and I
schedule all my other tasks around these times so that nothing interferes with my ‘me time’.

If you are reading this and you are thinking ‘do I call?’, I would call. You’ll be surprised how
accountable you’ll become and how consistent your workouts will be.

We’ll keep you motivated!

Are You A ‘Healthy’ Role Model For Your Kids?

Childhood obesity is out of control with no lessening in sight. During the imprint period,
which is between the ages of 0-7, kids are like a sponge for information. Their early habits
are being cemented every single second, minute, hour, day, month & year. And the worst
part of it is, it’s not what you say as a parent, it’s what you do & who you are as a parent.

At the risk of sounding harsh, a fat, inactive parent will subliminally train ‘little Johnny’ to
be fat & inactive, even if the parents tell ‘little Johnny’ to not eat ‘that food.’ On the other
hand, an active family will produce an active kid. The families eating habits will help to
train the palette of ‘little Johnny’ to eat healthier foods.

If you think that you may need a little help becoming a better,
more healthy role model, call 1300 NEW LEVEL today.
